After much speculation, it’s now confirmed that filmmaker Rohit Shetty and actor Ajay Devgn are set to return with the fifth installment of their blockbuster comedy franchise, Golmaal. Titled Golmaal FIVE, the film is expected to go on floors by February or March 2026.
According to sources close to the development, Shetty is currently busy filming the Rakesh Maria biopic starring John Abraham in Mumbai.
“The film will be wrapped up by September 2025, and Rohit is aiming to lock the edit by the end of this year for an early 2026 release,” the source revealed.
Following the completion of the biopic, Shetty will immediately dive into pre-production for Golmaal FIVE. “The basic plot is locked, and work on the screenplay is already underway,” the insider added.
