Harshvardhan Rane and Sadia Khateeb are bringing a new romantic action drama to theatres. Titled Silaa, the Omung Kumar directorial has set its release date for February 5, 2027, and the first look posters are out.

The film is described as a story of love and revenge, with Kashmir and Vietnam serving as its primary backdrops. Rane plays Virat, a man whose search for the woman he loves takes a dangerous turn and forces him to fight for survival.

What we know from the first look

  • Release date: February 5, 2027, in cinemas.
  • Cast: Harshvardhan Rane and Sadia Khateeb.
  • Director: Omung Kumar.
  • Backdrops: Kashmir and Vietnam.
  • Presentation: Zee Studios, with Blue Lotus Pictures and Stark Entertainment producing.

The announcement positions the film as a roller-coaster blend rather than a conventional romance. Harshvardhan and Sadia are both at the centre, and the makers are emphasising the emotional stakes alongside the action.

Rane said the shoot pushed him hard. He was drawn to Virat because there is more to him than what meets the eye, and the actor wanted to explore how far a person might go for someone who means everything. That internal push, he said, demanded from him both physically and mentally.

In a statement, he said, “Silaa has been one of the most challenging and exciting journeys for me as an actor.”

Kumar echoed the same balance. He said the team wanted to create a ride where romance, action, mystery and adventure meet in an unexpected way. Visually, the world of Silaa is meant to feel expansive, and with Kashmir and Vietnam in the frame, the film has two very different landscapes to play with.

Why the release date matters

An early 2027 date gives the team a long runway to build the film’s world, introduce its two leads and lean into the location-led scale. For audiences, it is an early calendar marker for a big-screen Bollywood romance that is being positioned as more than a simple love story.

Zee Studios is presenting the project, and the banners behind it include Blue Lotus Pictures and Stark Entertainment. The producers are Zee Studios, Omung Kumar, Himanshu Tiwari, Ajay Singh, Dhananjay Singh and Vanita Garud Kumar, with Hemant Tiwari as co-producer.
