Vijay Salgaonkar’s final chapter is off to a heavy start overseas. Drishyam The Conclusion, the third and last Hindi film in the franchise directed by Abhishek Pathak, has collected $6.5 million across international markets in its opening weekend. That makes it the second-largest overseas opening weekend of 2026, and the biggest overseas start of Ajay Devgn’s career.
The film opened in theatres on 2 October 2026. Rather than peaking on day one, its overseas run built over the weekend:
- Day 1: $1.8 million
- Day 2: $2.5 million
- Day 3: $2.2 million
The Saturday jump is the detail worth watching. A rise from $1.8M to $2.5M on day two often points to positive word-of-mouth and strong family turnout, not just a fan rush on opening day.
Where the film led the charts
The UAE was the standout territory. On Sunday, the film placed #1 there and #2 in Canada. It also ranked #3 in Australia and New Zealand, and found a place in the top ten in the UK and North America.
Across the full weekend, the rankings underlined the same story: #1 in UAE, #4 in Canada, #5 in Australia, #3 in New Zealand, #8 in the UK and #10 in the USA. For a Hindi thriller, that is a broad international footprint.
Why the number matters
Thrillers do not always travel as easily as action spectacles. The Drishyam franchise, however, has converted its reputation for twists and moral suspense into confidence at the box office. A $6.5M overseas weekend is a signal that the finale is being treated as an event, not a routine release.
The cast supports that framing. Alongside Ajay Devgn, the film brings back Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj, with Kamlesh Sawant, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav in the ensemble. For viewers who have followed the story through two earlier films, this final chapter is being positioned as the payoff.
The final move is in cinemas
Bollywood Bubble’s review gave the film four stars and summed up the theatrical appeal with a simple line: “Seeing is believing.” For audiences, that is the message: this is one to watch in a packed hall, where the tension of the final twists lands differently.
For box-office watchers, the next question is whether the film can hold momentum through the first week. The first answer, though, is already in: Vijay Salgaonkar’s last chapter has given Ajay Devgn his biggest overseas opening to date.
