Diljit Dosanjh’s Oct 30 Delhi Concert Denied Police Permission

Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour was supposed to begin in Delhi on October 30. Instead, the Delhi Police have refused permission for the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium show, leaving fans and ticket holders waiting for an official next step.

It is worth noting that the report frames the show as most likely cancelled. The police denial stops the event from going ahead on the planned date, but the formal cancellation and any ticket plan have not yet been announced.

What the police told BookMyShow

The Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South District) communicated the decision in a letter to ticketing platform BookMyShow. The letter says the request for “Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura India Tour Delhi” at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on 30.10.2026 was examined and cannot be approved.

“In view of the specific threat-related inputs, coupled with the multifarious security and law & order commitments arising out of the ongoing festive season and other important law & order concerns, the same cannot be acceded to.” — Delhi Police letter to BookMyShow

When a request reaches the police at this point, the decision usually turns on the security picture around the venue and the city’s law-and-order resources, not on the artist or the promoter. For a stadium-scale show in Delhi during the festive season, that load is especially visible.

Why the Delhi opener matters

Delhi was the starting point of the seven-city India leg, which follows Diljit’s run of concerts across Europe and North America. Another Delhi-NCR show is still listed for November 1, and the remaining cities on the schedule include Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Lucknow. The wider calendar runs through November 15, 21, 27 and 29 and December 5, with a Chandigarh concert also announced but not yet dated.

That makes a missing first date significant. Openers set the momentum for a tour and often become the reference point for how other cities are promoted and staffed. Fans travelling from outside Delhi now have to wait rather than act.

What ticket holders can do right now

Until BookMyShow or the tour team issues a formal update, the safest approach is to wait. Keep your booking confirmation handy and avoid making new, non-refundable travel arrangements around the Delhi date. BookMyShow’s official channels, since the denial letter was addressed to the platform, are the most direct place to watch. A quick checklist:

  • Watch official channels for a rescheduled date, refund window or transfer option.
  • Do not assume the November 1 Delhi-NCR show is affected until promoters confirm.
  • Keep an eye on the other city dates if you plan to attend a later leg.

The tour still has a packed calendar beyond the capital, but the first date is now a question mark that only the organisers and authorities can clear up.
