Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has crossed another box-office marker. Ten days into its run, the crime thriller has accumulated Rs 486.52 crore in worldwide gross, according to the film’s team.
The second Sunday added Rs 34.58 crore globally, putting the Rs 500-crore club within touching distance. If the pace holds, the team expects the film to enter the club within the next couple of days.
A second weekend with staying power
Trade website Sacnilk reported that the Sunday India collection came to Rs 22.50 crore net across 14,872 shows. That took the domestic gross to Rs 370.80 crore and India net collections to Rs 309 crore. Overseas, the film collected Rs 6 crore on its second Sunday.
What stands out is that the film is not merely holding screens; it is converting them into footfalls. The franchise finale’s word of mouth has kept the second weekend lively.
- Day 10 worldwide gross: Rs 486.52 crore
- Second Sunday worldwide addition: Rs 34.58 crore
- India second Sunday net: Rs 22.50 crore from 14,872 shows
- Domestic gross: Rs 370.80 crore
- Total India net: Rs 309 crore
Why the Rs 500-crore mark matters
The Rs 500-crore club has become shorthand for a Bollywood theatrical blockbuster. For a thriller led by a franchise finale, crossing that line signals that the film is drawing repeat viewers and new ticket buyers well past the opening rush.
Bollywood Bubble’s review called the film a must-watch in theatres, saying, “Seeing is believing and you need to see Drishyam The Conclusion to believe the lengths Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar will go to for his family.”
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Kamlesh Sawant, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. With the final chapter of the franchise playing in theatres, the second weekend has become a sustained theatrical celebration.
Box-office reporting also separates gross from net: gross is the total value of tickets sold before deductions, while net reflects the actual India collection after adjustments. On a big release, the gap between domestic gross and net can be substantial.
What to watch next
Movie watchers who want to catch the finale in its big-screen run should not wait. The next few days will determine how quickly the film moves from Rs 486 crore to the Rs 500-crore landmark. If the current momentum continues, the milestone could arrive before the third weekend.
