Parvati Video Hits No.1 in India: Agni Agyari’s Big Moment

Agni Agyari is now attached to one of the most visible devotional music moments of the week. The Parvati music video from Hanuman Ansh has climbed to No.1 on YouTube Music’s weekly songs chart in India and No.2 globally, and the Iranian actor-musician has become the face audiences are searching for.

She was not in the film

The interesting detail is that Agyari is not part of the Hanuman Ansh cast. The video features singer-writer-composer Sadhu Tiwari performing, while Agyari appears alongside him playing the hand pan and a clapbox. She wore her own sari for the shoot, and she believes she got the opportunity because she was a musician more than a conventional actor.

For her, the chart run feels personal. ‘Dil se mein Indian hi hoon!’ she told Hindustan Times, adding that she believes there is a deeper connection between her and India.

From Tehran to Bollywood

Born and raised in Tehran, Agyari grew up fascinated by Indian films. As a child, she wrote the bhajan Om Jai Jagdish Hare in Persian and sang it before a picture of Saraswati Maa. She has now spent four years in India and has built a visible track record.

  • Television: Bade Acche Lagte Hain 3 and Showtime
  • Commercials: projects with Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Yami Gautam
  • Films: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production Do Deewane Seher Mein and Love Lottery

Before taking speaking roles, she made a deliberate pause. For two years she avoided projects that required her to speak on camera, using that time to learn Hindi and avoid being slotted only as a foreign-national character.

Why the viral moment matters

A devotional song travelling this far is not an everyday chart story. The video has brought Agyari a second wave of attention, with viewers now discovering her earlier work. It also shows how cultural fluency can matter as much as screen time. She entered the frame because of a rare musical skill, but she held attention because she understood the song’s world.

Agyari’s route is a small playbook: learn the language first, use an existing skill as an entry point, and do not rush into a role that labels you before you are ready.

What comes next

In her latest release, Love Lottery, directed by Arvind Pandey, Agyari plays an important positive character while the lead actor’s character turns negative. Her parents are now with her in India, and she says the attention feels like a blessing.

For Bollywood watchers, the Parvati moment is a useful reminder that a viral clip can create a brand-new career lane. The musician in the frame can become a star too.
